Reference work makes me happy

I got the best reference question this morning!

Answering it involved multiple database searches, and pouring over old paper indexes.  How awesome is that?  I felt like a real librarian for once!

I'm so excited about this, mainly because I don't get a ton of reference questions, and those I do get tend to be answered fairly quickly.  Something like this, that involves knowledge of sources and the ability to perform a useful search, and all that other "skill" stuff is invigorating!  A nice change of pace from my primarily technical work.

Added my first tick mark to my stat sheet for today.  Now I'm off to finish archiving government documents.  Yuck.
